San Francisco Day II - proudly sponsored by Visa

Hello to everyone visiting our blog and posting comments - it is the highlight of our night, we enjoy having a drink, reading your comments and then posting our updates.

Today started at the ihop restuarant, a 24 hour diner across the road for a hot breakfast which was so big we didn't need any lunch.

Caught the cable car in to Union Square area to hit the shops and boy did we hit them. After today's shopping efforts I am expecting a call from the CEO of the Commonwealth Bank introducing himself as our personal banking relationship manager, I think we wore the strip of our credit card!

Started at Ghirardelli Chocolate shop thanks to a tip off from Cynthia, shop assistant gave us some complimentary chocolate peanut butter slices which was enough to convince us to make a purchase.

Then moved to Macy's where the girls stocked up on some "much needed" Mac cosmetics and Sonia bought a Guess What, I mean a Guess watch. Abercrombie & Fitch followed where the girls continued on and I joined the party. Then we went to "Champs Sports : Where Sport Lives", kids picked up some runners and Brando and I grabbed some A's caps for the ball game tomorrow (Rikki/Sabine - thanks for your support on the Captain hat but thought I would go for the A's cap instead, we look more local now).

Following this Brandan spotted the "Vans" store and walked out looking like Ryan Sheklar (some cool skater boy who Sammy thinks is hot).

Then Sonia explored Victoria's Secret (now you're talking) and came back with a very small bag, mmmmmm probably a keyring or something.

Last purchase for the day was an Ed Hardy (famous designer) hoodie for Samantha, making her a candidate for Australia's Next Top Model.

7 hours later we thought we should get back to the hotel before the cable car closed down for the night.

Had dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe on Pier 39, nice but servings were large and we all left quite full.

Didn't see Johnnie or Jim at the Hard Rock but I met another nice guy whose name was Bud (see above), little light on conversation though.

Will be bunkering down for the night shortly, still haven't got tickets for the ball game tomorrow yet but know how to get to the stadium via Bart which is San Franciscan for Train (thks Mary). Confident we will get tickets at the game.

Two days in and San Francisco already gets our thumbs up.

Tour Captain out.

Hi Guys & Gals - Blogger Scott here! Man I'm tired just reading about your holiday... sounds unbeliveable already. Stevo - it may pay to increase that credit limit; Brando - make sure Dad get's some of that Rockstar gel in his hair; Sonia - your mission is to spend, spend, spend; Sammy - do as Mum does! Take care, enjoy & game on (go A's).

Hi all...Well I'm worn out after such an exhausting day shopping with you!! I thought I knew how to shop but you win this time round!!

Good to know Sonia that your not letting us ladies down and how wise to buy things that fit in 'little bags' that way you get to buy lots more because it takes lots of 'little bags' to fill up your space in the suitcases!

I see two days into the holiday and you still have 'Tour Captain' with you so I suppose he's doing his job ok...and of course don't forget he has the credit card!!

OMG, 7 hours of shopping!!?
I would go crazy... How were the feet by the end of the day? Did you hire someone to carry the bags by the end of the day?!
Just a thought for Sonia: if breakfasts and dinners are so wide served, then you can save on lunch time and use the extra money for some more shopping ;)
